Operating Room Technician

Position OverviewUnder general direction, observes and practices sterile technique, maintains asepsis, anticipates and assists the surgeon as needed. Actively participates in patient care and safety. Utilizes OR supplies conservatively and operates as a team member of the OR staff.

Compensation Range:

$25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience

• Minimum Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Preferred:

• Previous Operating Room experience

• Previous Surgical Technologist experience

License/Certification

• Minimum Required:

• Meets the NYS Surgical Technologist Certification Law; OR Completed a Surgical Technologist program in the Armed Forces; OR Completed a nationally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist with a nationally accredited Surgical Technologist credential

• CPR Certification within 3 months of hire
