WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for an ongoing assignment at Prestigious Hospital in Amsterdam, NY.

Job Function:  

• Day Shift.
• 7am to 3:30pm.
• Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures.     
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.  
• Prepare patients for surgery as requested.     
• Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.    
• Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.  

Job Requirements:  

• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.    
• Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).  
• BLS preferred (American Heart Association).     
• 3 years of experience as a certified Surgical Tech working in an OR setting is required.
