Your primary responsibilities will include: assisting with patient care during surgeries, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring proper instrumentation and equipment are ready for use. You will also assist with inventory management and support nursing and anesthesia staff to facilitate optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe environment for patients, including proper positioning and infection prevention.
• Prepping and organizing materials according to the specific needs of the patient and surgical procedure.
• Checking and ensuring all department equipment and supplies are in working order.
• Performing necessary actions to minimize downtime between surgical cases.
• Demonstrating clinical and technical skills in alignment with established standards of practice.
• Providing exceptional customer service and teamwork while continuously contributing to personal and professional development.
• Undertaking additional tasks as directed to promote smooth operation of the facility.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an approved School of Allied Health or Surgical Technology is mandatory. CPR Certification is required.

Experience: Operating room experience is preferred.

Licensure: BLS Certification is required.

Special Skills: National Certification must be achieved within 18 months of hire.
