Certified Surgical Technologist - Minimal Call Hours

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will have the important responsibility of scrubbing in on OB procedures and assisting in nursing care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your expertise will be essential in promoting a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub person duties with proficiency.
• Demonstrate technical skills during procedures, consistently adhering to sterile techniques and aseptic principles.
• Assist with patient care activities in Labor & Delivery, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Identify and communicate changes in patient conditions to the RN effectively.
• Exhibit accountability and responsibility in daily performance.
• Accept and perform delegated activities consistently, as observed by a supervisor.

Qualifications
Education: Completion of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program or equivalent training. Candidates must be certified or obtain certification within one year of employment if hired after January 1, 2012.

Experience: Previous experience in a surgical or clinical environment is preferred.

Licensure: Current certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.

Special Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and successful completion of MCH/OR training program (minimum 85% score).

Physical Demands: This role requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment may have moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
