nThis is a entry-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Civil/Structural Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.

Support Civil and/or Structural design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
n n - n
Under supervision, responsible for production of engineering calculations/analyses, design drawings, specifications, and engineering reports. Ensure that calculations and deliverables are technically sound and in accordance with project requirements
n n - n
Apply civil and structural engineering principles to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components
n n - n
Attend project meetings and perform field walk downs
n n
Qualifications
nMust be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.
nEssential skills and experience:
n- n
- n
Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
n n - n
BSCE, BSSE, or BSME degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program; MS degree preferred
n n - n
3+ years of progressively responsible experience in civil and structural engineering
n n - n
Self-motivated, have a strong willingness to learn, be able to work independently as well as with a multi-disciplined team, and have excellent organizational and communication skills
n n - n
Knowledge of the practical application of structural engineering
n n
Valued but not required skills and experience:
n- n
- n
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) certificate
n n - n
Multiple years of experience in a nuclear environment (DOE preferred, commercial or Navy), highly desirable
n n - n
Familiarity with design codes such as ACI, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC
n n - n
Familiarity with structural analysis software such as ANSYS or SAP2000 or equivalent
n n - n
