nModeling and Simulation Engineer
nKBR is seeking a highly qualified Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform analysis support modeling and simulation of complex space systems. Analysis and Modeling & Simulation actives will support analysis of technical maturation, validation of requirements, verification and validation of algorithms, and analysis of algorithms pre- and post-implementation.

Analysis of space systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models

Support to modeling and simulation activities
n n - n
Identify and document issues impacting both spacecraft and ground systems through objective analysis and processes
n n - n
Provide pre- and post-algorithm implementation and process analysis and modeling
n n - n
Provide support to verification and validation of algorithms including tuning, testing, and integration planning
n n - n
Support orbital analysis, including threats assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses
n n - n
Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
n n - n
Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges

Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports

Minimum Qualifications:
n- n
- n
Bachelor's STEM degree, or related field
n n - n
5-12 years of experience in modeling and simulation, analyzing algorithms, or verification and validations of systems
n n - n
Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations
n n - n
Strong communication skills to interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups
n n - n
Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports
n n - n
Experience using one or more of the following: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK
n n
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's STEM degree

Experience in modeling and simulation
n n - n
Prior experience providing analysis support
n n - n
Knowledge of impacting mission threats
n n - n
Prior experience with government satellite systems and/or space situational awareness
n n - n
Experience with CONOPs, architecture products, and/or requirements
n n - n
Experience support wargames and exercises
n n
Security Requirements: Active Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI. Current TS/SCI preferred.
