We have partnered with a premere personal injury firm seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Personal Injury Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling personal injury cases from intake to settlement or trial, and a passion for advocating on behalf of injured clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and other tort claims
- Conduct initial consultations and case evaluations to determine viability
- Oversee all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, legal correspondence, and settlement demands
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to maximize client recovery
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations as necessary
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations
- Stay current on personal injury law developments, court rulings, and legal trends
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
- 1-5+ years of experience in personal injury law (trial experience a plus)
- Strong negotiation, litigation, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail
- Proficiency with legal practice management and case management software
