A prestigious law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a skilled litigation associate with a focus on class action and employment law. The position involves handling complex employment litigation cases, including wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims. This role requires a dynamic, motivated attorney capable of managing cases from inception to resolution with guidance and support from experienced partners.
Duties
- Conduct internal investigations and gather case-relevant information.
- Perform comprehensive legal research and prepare written analyses.
- Draft and respond to discovery requests.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Represent clients during court conferences, hearings, and trials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and legal staff to manage case progression.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation, particularly wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims.
- Demonstrated expertise in discovery and law and motion practice.
- Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in legal research and drafting complex legal documents.
- Familiarity with iManage and Coyote Analytics is a plus.
- Strong public speaking skills for effective courtroom representation.
