Role Overview: Sales Associate
As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our DIY business while achieving sales objectives. You will leverage your basic automotive knowledge and store systems expertise to enhance customer experience. This position can be either part-time or full-time, and fleet safety certification is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service during DIY customer visits and phone inquiries.
- Meet personal sales goals and contribute to overall store sales targets.
- Perform DIY services such as battery installation and wiper blade replacement.
- Maintain high product and operational standards within the store.
- Engage in inventory processes, including stock organization and cycle counts.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, and parking areas.
- Assist with general stocking duties and inventory management.
- Deliver parts safely to customers as required.
Key Success Factors:
- Basic driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to utilize delivery systems effectively.
- Strong and friendly communication skills.
- Aptitude for locating and stocking parts efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating inventory systems and store equipment.
- Hands-on expertise with testing and diagnostics for DIY services.
Essential Skills for Success:
- Proficient in English (Spanish is a plus); capable of building relationships with customers and team members.
- Able to read and comprehend safety and operational documents.
- Competent in basic math operations.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, and weekends.
Experience That Supports Success:
- 2-3 years of retail sales experience, demonstrating exceptional customer service.
Role Overview: Delivery Driver
The Delivery Driver role is essential in ensuring timely delivery of parts to our commercial clients. You will also assist with various in-store tasks and inventory processes. This position requires fleet safety certification and can be full-time or part-time.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver parts to our commercial customers.
- Prepare customer orders by picking and staging parts.
- Manage return pickups and core collections.
- distribute promotional materials such as sales flyers.
- Collect payments from credit accounts daily.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the store and surrounding areas.
- Support general stocking and inventory organization efforts.
Key Success Factors:
- Competent driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to manage delivery logistics effectively.
- Warm and friendly communication approach.
- Capability to efficiently locate and stock parts.
- An understanding of safety protocols and practices.
- Familiarity with inventory systems and store equipment.
Essential Skills for Success:
- Effective communication skills to build strong relationships.
- Aptitude for reading and interpreting various documents.
- Proficiency in basic math skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in automotive parts is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and fleet safety certification are required.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include walking, standing, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Work Environment:
This role typically involves indoor work, with occasional outdoor duties subject to various weather conditions. You may also encounter noise from machinery and other environmental factors.
