Duties:

1. Handle an active caseload in insurance defense litigation
2. Conduct written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories and requests for production
3. Take and defend depositions
4. Draft motions and oppositions, including motions for summary judgment
5. Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda as needed
6. Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on trial preparation and court appearances
7. Maintain clear, organized documentation of all case activities

Requirements:

1. Civil litigation experience preferred.
2. Previous experience in Medical Malpractice is a plus.
3. Familiarity with insurance defense practices; medical malpractice exposure is advantageous.
4. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Proven ability to work both independently and within a team setting

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
