As an Advanced Machine Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing intricate production machinery and systems. You will primarily work on the first shift; however, flexibility to accommodate additional shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities is essential. Collaborating closely with the Group Leader and Machine Repair Electricians, your contributions will directly impact our production efficiency and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair automated machines and robotic systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on various systems, including mechanical and electrical, and recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
- Assist engineers with performance testing of equipment and collect data to address any operational challenges.
- Perform equipment diagnostics and repairs, utilizing technical knowledge in relay logic, industrial controls, and PLCs.
- Document all maintenance activities and repairs for compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Manage spare parts inventory and assist in maintaining organized records of maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address maintenance issues and implement efficiency projects.
- Adhere to the highest safety standards and report any safety concerns to your supervisor immediately.
- Engage in continued education to keep up with evolving technology in machinery and systems.
- May be required to assist at our Euclid facility for training purposes.
- Other duties as assigned by the department Manager.
Qualifications
- Completion of an Electrician Apprentice Program, an Associate degree/certificate in Electronics/Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Pass the skilled trade assessment test required for the position.
- Proficient in electrical troubleshooting with knowledge of combustion or hydraulic systems preferred.
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ladder logic.
- Skilled in using measuring devices such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate self-motivation.
- Able to lift up to 75 pounds and operate necessary equipment (hoists, forklifts).
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights of up to 30 feet.
- Willingness to wear necessary safety equipment, including respirators.
