TS/SCI Senior Systems Administrator

Insight Global is seeking a qualified TS/SCI Sr. Systems Administrator to work fully on-site via a 6 month contract-to-hire in support of one of are large federal clients. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:
* Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers - physical, virtualized, and cloud-based.
* Monitor, manage and maintain ElasticSearch/OpenSearch clusters.
* Monitor, manage and maintain AWS Cloud resources such as S3, EC2, RDS, IAM, and CloudWatch.
* Monitor, manage and maintain Postgres databases.
* Monitor, manage and maintain container orchestration systems.
* Utilize scripts and programming technologies to automate tasks, generate system access reports, and create/update application database records. (using bash, python, etc.)
* Create and maintain system administration processes and procedures.
* Ensure all Windows/Linux based systems have the appropriate security patches and security configurations installed, e.g OS patches and STIGs.
* Support other tasks as required for hosting systems in DoD environments.
* Support operations teams as required.
* Must be flexible with work hours to support team coverage requirements of 6AM6PM.
* Must be able to support maintenance activities in the evening and weekend, as well as provide on-call support as needed.
* Ad hoc requests from the customer. Running SQL queries, applying patches, pairing the script to interface with an API to pull data, upgrading one of the applications.
Systems Team: 3 people including Sys Admin Lead in Charlottesville; 2 others in Bethesda, MD.
Shift/Schedule: Fully on-site in Charlottesville at the NGIC client site. Monday - Friday 10 am to 6pm (must be available/flexible for core hours of 6am to 6pm). On call on the weekends and potential for after hours support.
Compensation on Contract: $60.10/hr - $77.31/hr
Conversion Salary: $125k - $140k

Required Skills & Experience
* Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance and willing / obtain a Poly.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of 10 years of related work experience (some flex)
* Compliant with DoD 8570; Security + and COMPTIA cert (COMPTIA Security +, Server+, Linux+, AWS Certified, etc.).
* Experience with Windows Servers and Linux OS and command line knowledge
* Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare vSphere, Hyper-V).
* Experience in application administration, configuration, and integration.
* Experience with ElasticSearch / OpenSearch (flexible)
* Experience with cloud-based environments and resources, such as AWS, S3, RDS, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch. (flexible)
* Experience with information system security best practices and STIGs.
* Experience in an environment requiring good customer service skills.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Active TS/SCI with a CI Poly
* Experience with Ansible or similar Configuration Management technology.
* Experience in CI/CD toolsets (Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Harbor, Argo, etc).
* Experience with Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes).
* Previous working background at NGIC and/or supporting the I/C.
