Join us as we tackle exciting challenges! Leidos is in search of a F5 Load Balance Network Engineer to contribute to a large-scale IT initiative for the Department of Defense. You will be responsible for the implementation, operation, and maintenance of load balancer technologies across multiple networks globally. Your tasks will include technology upgrades, performance tuning, and applying critical system patches in both on-premises and cloud environments. Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain operational effectiveness of Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security (SSL/TLS) offloading and PKI authentication features of the F5 appliance.
• Ensure load balancing configurations and PKI certificates are consistently backed up according to customer policies.
• Promptly notify load balancing and reverse proxy customers about impending PKI certificate expirations and assist with renewals.
• Create, manage, and resolve issues related to load balanced IP address spaces.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Provide on-call support to IT Operations Center staff for troubleshooting service outages.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures to facilitate troubleshooting and incident management.

Required Skills

• Proven experience managing F5 load balancer appliances in an enterprise setting.
• Thorough understanding of monitoring standards and tools for F5 appliance management.
• Technical expertise in backing up PKI certificates and appliance configurations.
• Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot IP address spaces effectively.
• Experience working autonomously while meeting customer needs.
• Strong collaboration skills with team members to clarify requirements and devise solutions.
• Familiarity with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.

Certifications

• Must meet DoDM IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher).
• Must possess at least F5 Certified Administrator (201) certification or higher.

Education

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
• Equivalent education experiences may apply, such as an Associate's degree with 10 years or a High School Diploma with 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Security Clearance

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of our contracts.
• TS/SCI with Poly required for this position or TS/SCI with willingness to acquire and maintain a specific polygraph.
