Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive maternal and newborn care. The RN will support patients through labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and high-risk situations while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Provide care during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including high-risk patients.
- Monitor fetal heart tones, maternal vitals, and labor progression.
- Circulate in C-sections and assist with immediate newborn care.
- Administer and titrate medications, including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Insulin drips.
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process.
- Collaborate with OBs, CRNAs, Neonatologists, and multidisciplinary staff.
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC/GE Connect.
- Float between L&D and Postpartum/MB units as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D experience, including postpartum.
- Must be able to circulate in C-sections and work with high-risk patients.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring – Intermediate or Advanced OR NCC Certification required.
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Insulin drip experience preferred (training available).
- No acceptance of candidates with only Critical Access Hospital experience.
- First-time travelers accepted if meeting criteria.
