Substation SCADA Lead

Job Title

Lead the integration of substation automation and SCADA systems for renewable energy projects. Configure and validate Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and telemetry data. Manage grid interconnection testing and ensure successful commissioning. Coordinate with transmission operators and utility stakeholders. Ensure compliance with utility requirements and LGIA (Large Generator Interconnection Agreement) protocols. Support project teams with technical expertise in SCADA architecture and substation communication standards. Document system configurations, test results, and compliance reports.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in substation SCADA systems and integration. Strong knowledge of RTU configuration, telemetry protocols (e.g., DNP3, Modbus), and grid interconnection processes. Familiarity with utility standards and LGIA compliance. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Experience with renewable energy projects is a plus. Experience with SCADA platforms such as GE, SEL, Siemens, or Schneider. Knowledge of NERC, FERC, and other regulatory standards. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
