ADP is hiring a Strategic Planning Sr. Director to join our Smart Compliance Solutions business. This role partners with senior leadership to assess, build, and lead strategic initiatives that drive transformational growth, client experience, and innovative advancements for the Compliance and Shared Services organization.
Overview
As a Strategic Planning partner, you will report to the DVP & General Manager of Compliance and Shared Services under Smart Compliance Solutions. You will collaborate across functions and with external partners to capitalize on competitive advantages and lead strategic initiatives from ideation to execution.
Responsibilities
- Assess current portfolio of projects and provide insight and expertise regarding prioritization and execution to achieve growth milestones
- Formulate new business strategies, research and identify innovative opportunities and paths for long-term growth
- Proactively identify and solve the most complex problems; apply advanced methods to go beyond existing solutions
- Facilitate the implementation of strategic programs to improve growth, client experience, business effectiveness and risk reduction
- Coordinate input from all major business units to align unit plans with the Compliance Solutions and ADP corporate strategy
- Analyze industry trends to inform business performance, process improvement and growth
- Lead and execute the Business Development strategy with external partners by identifying and building mutually beneficial relationships
- Anticipate business and regulatory issues; recommend product, process, or service improvements
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; conduct environmental scans and strategic analyses
- Develop and deliver presentations, briefings and communications on strategy; communicate complex ideas and persuade senior stakeholders
- Negotiate with senior management, customers, partners, or vendors to influence decisions
- Perform other related duties such as operational analyses and presentations
Qualifications
- 15+ years of relevant experience in strategic partnerships, program management, or LEAN methodologies
- Proficiency and in-depth knowledge of ADP HR, Payroll and Benefits policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Tax, Payroll, ERPs, Systems Integrators and Software industries
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and teamwork skills
- Strong content creation and business storytelling/presentation skills (PowerPoint)
- Experience identifying and developing relationships with key decision makers
- Ability to translate technical complexities into business value for partners
- Strategic thinking to identify long-term growth opportunities and build trusted partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex partner challenges
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage programs with minimal supervision
- Ability to influence and drive consensus across diverse teams
- Ability to collaborate across organizations and cross-functional teams to drive outcomes
- Understanding of partner economic models and facilitation/Kaizen capabilities
Education and Experience
- A college degree is helpful but not required; relevant experience can substitute
- Experience in strategic partnerships, or military experience demonstrating teamwork and adaptability is acceptable
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent in education and experience
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Solid command of business communication tools and strategies
- Proven track record in achieving business results
- Relevant expertise in a professional, sales or technical area
- Knowledge of best practices and market differentiation
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary offers range from $126,800 to $339,660 per year, with potential for bonus, equity or commissions depending on location, skills and experience. Actual compensation will comply with applicable wage and salary laws.
