Special Education Teacher Life Skills Classroom | Elementary | $56/hr | Springfield, OR
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a self-contained Life Skills classroom serving K5 students in Springfield, Oregon. This classroom is part of the SELF program and includes students with Autism and other developmental needs. The role begins September 3, 2025, and runs for a 36-week contract.
Position Details
- Location: Springfield, OR
- Start Date: September 3, 2025
- Schedule: MondayFriday, 37.5 hours/week
- Contract Length: 36 weeks
- Classroom Type: SELF Program Life Skills, Autism support
- Grade Level: Elementary (K5)
- Caseload: 1015 students (currently 12)
- Pay Rate: $56/hr
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Oregon teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
- Minimum one year of classroom experience (preferred)
- Licensure:
- Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
