Join our dynamic AGUN team as a Senior Network Software Engineer, where your expertise will contribute to the Army's critical global wide area network and security infrastructure. This role involves supporting a complex network migration and operations for the US Army, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

Program Summary:
The AGUN program presents a challenging mission, requiring expert technical and management skills. You will be essential in resolving service tickets, creating automated workflows, and providing operational support for a global network.

Eligibility Requirements:
You must be capable of working in a rotating shift pattern to qualify for this position. Additionally, you must currently hold and maintain an active DoD SECRET security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain secure network solutions for a centralized enterprise capability for the US Army.
• Support 24x7x365 AGUN operations by providing updates for the Global Cyber Center (GCC) to ensure effective command and control of the AGUN network.
• Implement standard policy and configuration changes to optimize AGUN network operations.
• Manage service tickets in JIRA Service Desk and GCC Service Now, ensuring timely updates and communication.
• Provide status updates and situational awareness regarding ticket resolution.
• Escalate complex tickets through the JIRA Service Desk as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical experts to assess current capabilities and configurations, providing tier III support.
• Investigate and propose network optimization strategies to enhance capacity and performance.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience (additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Possess DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) or equivalent prior to starting.
• Experience in supporting Cisco SDWAN.
• Familiarity with Software Defined Networking (SDN) concepts.
• Proficient in virtualization technologies, especially VMware.
• Experience with Red Hat operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with InfoVista.
• Working knowledge of vendor technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, or AppGate.
• Experience using ServiceNow.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, and Routing (L2/L3).
• Experience with enterprise network management tools like Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, or similar.
• Familiarity with protocols: SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, NTP.
• Strong teamwork capabilities for troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in Linux shell scripting.
• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Skills in managing trouble tickets and escalations effectively.
• Experience with NetSecOps technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Proficiency in Network Performance Management tools.
• Expertise in any of the following: Netflow, Elastic, Kafka, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Strong knowledge in designing and improving complex enterprise networks.
• Comprehensive understanding of US Army security requirements for network infrastructure.
