Program Management Director - Demand Planning
Base pay range: $139,400.00/yr - $291,800.00/yr
Job Description: We're seeking a Program Management Director to lead the OCI demand planning team. The director will enable the strategy and execution of forecasting and decision making through modeling, business intelligence, and market and industry trend analysis. An ideal candidate possesses deep experience in developing data analytics, creating scenario analysis, and partnering with supply management functions. The Program Management Director should have advanced knowledge of process improvement and drive iteration and new learnings into inputs and methods for strategic requirement forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team to transform OCI’s demand planning practice to scale
- Develop, iterate, and maintain end-to-end long-range demand planning models at the customer, initiative, SKU, and geo level to correctly predict product demand and provide supply chain with the appropriate information to meet customer demand
- Build demand plans based on strategic goals, business trends, and inputs from stakeholders
- Interact with engineering, customer management, product management, networking, datacenter, and finance to understand demand requirements
- Socialize demand plans with senior leaders in capacity planning and operations, supply chain, engineering, customer management, and finance to achieve alignment
- Identify demand forecast risks and develop prioritized, effective, flexible, and durable mitigation strategies
- Facilitate balance between long-range planning and short-term execution; understand end-to-end supply chain flow to meet customer demand
- Collaborate with product management to understand product lifecycle and impact on forecasting
- Provide direct inputs and analysis of demand data to management, finance, and operational teams for the corporate S&OP process
- Develop routine and ad-hoc demand analyses and reports for senior management
- Maintain demand planning review processes to improve forecast accuracy
- Translate business strategy into forecasting models, both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Work with business intelligence teams to translate planning processes into system models to determine and plan resource needs that meet capacity and performance needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
- 5+ years’ relevant experience within demand planning and forecasting
- Demand planning experience at hyperscalers
- Extensive experience developing demand plans and forecasts for new and existing products
- Understand impact of revenue goals, customer usage, overhead and buffer, data center space and power on capacity management
- Excellent analytical skills; ability to meet deadlines with urgency and high quality
- Experience forecasting and planning for server storage and networking infrastructure hardware
- Ability to read and interpret product BOM and documentation
- Advanced Excel modeling and ability to build complex forecasting models with multiple inputs
- Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights for executive-level communication
- Experience presenting to VPs and Executives
Preferred Qualifications
- Thrive in ambiguity and make high-judgment decisions from ambiguous context
- Ability to translate large datasets into useful information and draw conclusions
- Maintain key operational metrics driving continuous improvement
- Experience building and improving business processes
- Ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to overcome obstacles and deliver results
- 7+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
- Working proficiency in SQL
