This role will focus on providing orthopedic care within our urgent care facility but will function with a schedule independent of the urgent care clinic hours.

Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Provider plays a critical role in delivering outstanding healthcare aligned with Fast Pace Health’s values, aiming for optimum patient satisfaction. Applicants should be adept in a collaborative environment, with the skills necessary to diagnose and treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and provide comprehensive care from diagnosis through rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will embrace new technologies and adapt quickly in a dynamic practice setting.

• Conduct assessments and diagnose fractures through clinical evaluations and imaging studies.
• Perform non-surgical fracture reductions as needed.
• Oversee the healing process and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Execute joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections.
• Carry out intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound guidance.
• Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize various musculoskeletal conditions.
• Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured areas.
• Educate patients on cast care and potential complications.
• Interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies to aid in diagnosis.
• Collaborate with specialists to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Assess the appropriateness of surgical versus non-operative treatments.
• Inform patients thoroughly about their orthopedic conditions.
• Provide guidance on home exercises, physical therapy, and modifications to activities.
• Address patient inquiries and ensure understanding of treatment plans.
• Work closely with physical and occupational therapists to facilitate coordinated patient care and rehabilitation.
• Analyze patient histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to establish appropriate diagnoses.
• Deliver excellent patient care through both in-person and virtual recommendations, consistently prioritizing patient-centered care, safety, and accurate information.

Experience Requirements and Preferences

• Minimum one year of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (FNP or PA).
• At least one year of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections.

Education Requirements

Master's Degree Required.
