The Sr. Field Account Manager, Enterprise Strategic Accounts, is a dedicated position working collaboratively with several other Senior Field Account Managers to successfully implement and service one of UHC's largest clients.  This includes serving as the key liaison between the client and the Operations team, trending/monitoring of service issue resolution, and education for the client and their employees. The Senior Field Account Manager will address any escalated issues sent to them, the SAE, or other field employees. They will work with the Operations team and/or their manager to coordinate resolution.

If you are in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own the service experience of the client working with the UMR Operations Team and other matrix partners as required to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately meeting the client's expectations
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the client and member experience meets expectations
  • Fully accountable for supporting the SAE in facilitating the resolution of all elevated client service requests. This could involve claim, call, clinical, network, and reporting requests
  • Facilitate customer meetings with the Operations Team regularly to assess trends and keep abreast of any escalating issues and service trend
  • Train customers in Web Services and Reporting. Expand customer expertise and reliance on tools that drive member engagement.
  • Maintain and provide customer information to the SAE on service trends, umr.com usage, InfoPort and other reporting usage, wellness initiatives, and improvement opportunities, etc.
  • Conduct meetings with customers to identify issues/trends and analyze root causes to determine corrective action steps
  • Establish and maintain solid and appropriate relationships with all external partners
  • Coordinate ordering of enrollment materials/directories for customers
  • Coordinate resolution of pre-implementation service and eligibility issues with Implementation Team
  • Coordinate implementation activities such as intent calls
  • Conduct enrollment meetings and customer sponsored health fairs 
  • Perform other assignments and responsibilities as required by management

Required Qualifications:

  • NY Insurance license as required by law or ability to obtain it at the time of hire  
  • 3+ years of work experience in a client-facing service role
  • 3+ years of experience building relationships with employers, consultants, and brokers 
  • Ability to travel to New York city 25% of the time to meet with clients and members 
  • Ability to demonstrate superior presentation skills in both small and large group settings

  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Proven ability to navigate a complex organization to accomplish customer satisfaction
  • Proven excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven solid team player

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $24.04 to $55.29 per hour based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
