Duties

Manage first-party property insurance claims on behalf of insurance carriers

Conduct examinations under oath and depositions

Draft detailed insurance coverage opinions

Handle litigation involving third-party defense claims

Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and motion practice

Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues on claim evaluations and defense strategies

Requirements

5–12 years of experience in insurance coverage and litigation

Strong background handling first-party insurance matters

Prior experience taking depositions and conducting examinations under oath (required)

Experience drafting legal coverage opinions and managing third-party claims (preferred)

Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

Active license to practice law in the state of California (required)
