Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Pasco County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision to be the Healthiest State in the Nation. This is administrative work assisting the Regional Coordinator/Community Program Manager and Human Services Program Specialist in the operation of the CDC funded Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (FBCCEDP) at the Hudson location of the Pasco County Health Department. This work involves comprehensive client case management and care coordination, monitoring participant progress. Incumbent serves as a resource for program policies, guidelines, and information. This work includes researching data, gathering data, and preparing reports. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining client enrollment.

Uses Microsoft Excel to create and maintain an accurate database for the FBCCEDP, including client information, dates of services, and payment of claims. Assists Program Manager in compiling and reviewing program data to complete all required internal departmental reports and reports required by the State Health Office in Tallahassee.

Reviews client enrollment documents for completeness and accuracy. Reviews and monitors Patient Reporting Forms (PRFs), client eligibility, and tracks missing documentation needed to complete each case. Processes vouchers and referrals. Utilizes evidence-based interventions for complete case management to all enrolled clients. Assists Program Manager and Program Specialist with surgical consultation process, MRI referrals, biopsy referrals and Medicaid application. Responsible for timely and complete client case management and care coordination, following up with clients throughout the continuum of care. Meets regularly with Program Manager and/or Program Specialist to discuss case management and outreach activities. Supports the team to ensure positive and productive workflow. Communicates with clients, providers, and partners by telephone, written communication, e-mail, and fax machine. Maintains client confidentiality. Communicates with program providers to educate on program guidelines and assist with care coordination.

Processes claims for approval/denial and communicates with providers, third party payer, and Central Office. Monitors claims for services and keeps track of grant funding expenditures. Updates hyperlinks folder for claims processed and denied, reconcile claims, and updates missing claims list to assure providers are reimbursed for services rendered to FBCCEDP clients. Contacting providers and requesting missing claims as needed.

Assists with program education and training of program staff, community partners and providers. Travels to other clinics or sites in Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Sumter counties, and the Tampa Bay area as necessary to facilitate provider education and participate in outreach efforts. Assists in organizing and maintaining outreach materials. Attends outreach events and coordinating the events. Participates in quality improvement activities. Attends staff meetings and trainings to promote professional and personal growth. Completes all mandatory trainings as required by the Program Manager, program, and the agency.

Shares telephone duties with other staff, such as receiving telephone calls, keeping accurate messages, and transferring calls to appropriate offices. Processes mail. Greets visitors, mail delivery, or couriers.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

• Fluent in Spanish
• 1 year experience in a public health/clinical setting
• 1 experience in Clerical work
