The expected salary range for this position is $144,900 to $161,000, depending on experience, along with a complete benefits package that includes bonuses and 401(k) contributions.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

We are seeking a Senior Staff Electrical Engineer to perform advanced engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. In this role, you will be responsible for making technical decisions, possessing superior knowledge in electrical engineering, and demonstrating expertise in industry codes and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute advanced nuclear engineering tasks to support plant operations.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses related to technical projects.
• Provide deep technical expertise to manage and implement engineering activities focused on safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of engineering work while upholding standard design practices and codes.
• Consult on equipment and system problem-solving, delivering technical solutions promptly.
• Oversee engineering issues, assuming project management responsibilities as necessary.
• Propose new concepts to enhance performance, reduce costs, and comply with evolving regulations.
• Support plant design modifications, testing, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure all engineering outputs align with applicable safety analyses and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate supervisory activities regarding personnel and budget planning.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management, including emergency response and department support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Civil/Structural, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with at least 10 years of engineering experience.
• Proven technical leadership experience and demonstrated teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain access requirements and pass medical examinations as necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Engineer Registration
• Advanced technical degree or specialized coursework
• Experience in protective relaying
• Familiarity with large power transformers
• Knowledge of generator automatic voltage regulators
