Responsibilities
- The General Manager at the World of Whirlpool is a mentor and resource to the Leadership team, possessing excellent supervisory skills, the ability to effectively manage groups of people and multi-task. In alliance with Whirlpool standards, leads the team to produce outstanding hospitality while ensuring that company resources are fully utilized to achieve objectives.
- Establish, with the property owner, a credible approach to management for the property.
- Maintain a positive work environment by building an outstanding team, leading and inspiring associates to achieve high standards and holding the team accountable for results.
- Work with Whirlpool staff daily; understand their vision and expectations and lead the team to fulfill them.
- Keep Pyramid Home Office and Whirlpool owners informed of important decisions and progress.
- Maintain an atmosphere of information exchange and continuous improvement, building rapport between employees and management.
- Adapt to change and be creative in problem solving and offerings.
- Implement and support programs to enhance product and service at AAA four-diamond service/operation.
- Direct programs for training and development to enhance guest and member experiences and ensure communication methods for guest recognition and preferences.
- Lead and achieve the annual plan, including operating budget, capital budget, and associate plan.
- Ensure effective communication through Planning Meetings with property operating departments and Whirlpool via weekly resume meetings and regular BEO meetings.
- Develop capital recommendations to improve property operations and ensure all guest/associate safety and health requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of General Manager experience at a Conference or Catering Center or Conference Hotel, required.
- Minimum three years of experience with revenue and profit generation and profitability for a Conference Center or Conference Hotel, preferred.
- Track record of mentoring and growing staff members; strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint experience desirable.
Compensation
The compensation for this position is $150,000.00/Yr. - $170,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
