In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work directly with children (ages 18 months to 8 years) utilizing ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a nurturing, center-based atmosphere. Your Role as a Behavior Therapist:

• Apply one-on-one ABA therapy techniques to aid children with Autism in realizing their full potential by understanding and executing treatment plans, collecting data, documenting insurance notes, and implementing supervisor feedback during observation sessions.

• Facilitate the development of early childhood children (ages 18 months to 8 years) through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.

• Work collaboratively with a team to enhance treatment quality, safety, and a delightful working environment within the center.

• Interact with children through play, movement, and imitation. This may include dancing, silly singing, reading books, watching videos, or playing with toys—your energy and enthusiasm will foster a joyful atmosphere.

• Communicate effectively and positively with stakeholders (peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate achievements, and advocate for individual needs.

Job Requirements:

• Capable of lifting and moving children in a dynamic environment, including lifting up to 30 lbs, bending, squatting, and moving quickly to engage effectively with young children and ensure safety.

• Maintain a therapy-conducive setting by keeping play areas tidy, organized, and stimulating for children.

• Ability to multitask by balancing various tasks, decisions, or conversations while prioritizing safety and effectiveness.

• Support team cohesion by collaborating within the center and nearby locations as needed.

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are essential.

• Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment, which involves a 40-hour training curriculum, hands-on competency assessment, registering for an exam, and passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $15.50 - $23.75
• Bachelors: $21.00 - $27.75
• Masters: $22.00 - $28.00
Entry-level candidates your first raise is available upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.

Experience in these fields is a plus!

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)

• Mental health professionals and advocates (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)

• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers

• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields (any degree preferred)

• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants

• A strong desire to work with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

• An eagerness to join a caring, team-oriented culture
