In our 1:1 ABA setting, you will work directly with children (18 months to 8 years) using ethical, evidence-based ABA techniques in a supportive, center-based environment. With excellent supervision, ongoing training, and a passionate team by your side, you will make a genuine impact every day!

What you'll be doing as a Behavior Technician

• Implement one-on-one ABA therapy to assist children with Autism in reaching their full potential by following treatment plans, collecting data, writing notes for insurance, and applying feedback from supervisors during observation sessions.
• Encourage the development of young children (ages 18 months to 8 years) through engaging and enjoyable therapeutic activities.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to optimize treatment, ensure safety, and create a fun work environment throughout the center.
• Engage with children through play, movement, and imitation, which can involve singing, dancing, reading, or playing with toys, actively nurturing a joyful atmosphere.
• Communicate positively with stakeholders (e.g., peers, families, supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate successes, and advocate for the needs of both children and team members.

Job Requirements

• Physical ability to lift and move children in a fast-paced environment, including the capability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend over, crouch, swiftly move on the floor, and run to stay engaged with young children while maintaining a tidy, safe workspace.
• Maintain a therapeutic environment by ensuring play areas are organized and stimulating for enjoyable experiences for the children.
• Multitask effectively, managing various tasks, decisions, or conversations while prioritizing safety for everyone involved.
• Support teams by working cohesively as part of the center and collaborating with neighboring centers when necessary.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by successfully finishing a 40-hour training curriculum, demonstrating hands-on competency, registering for an exam, and passing the board's exam.

Pay Ranges Based on Experience & Education:

• Associates/High School: $16.20 - $23.50
• Bachelors: $17.50 - $27.00
• Masters: $19.00 - $28.00

For entry-level candidates, your first raise is earned upon certification as RBT, typically within 21 days.

Experience in these fields is a plus!

• Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
• Mental health professionals and advocates (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
• Camp counselors, volunteers, or Sunday school teachers
• Degrees in teaching, special education, sociology, psychology, or related fields (any degree preferred)
• Experience as paraprofessionals, direct support, or life skills assistants
• A passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
