The E-Commerce Business Manager will lead the growth and further development of our e-commerce website, This online thrift store is part of the overall Adult Rehabilitation Center Command. Our rehabilitation centers are funded by the sale of donated goods in our brick-and-mortar retail stores, our e-commerce store, and our recycling operations.
This position reports directly to the Command Director of Sales and Operations and will serve as the primary point of contact for e-commerce operations. This position calls for high-level analysis along with the ability to engage and motivate front-line hourly staff in 16 locations throughout the territory to drive top and bottom-line performance.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Quickly and fully comprehend all detailed aspects of existing e-commerce operations including the IT platform, payment processing, shipping, customer service, posting, packing, shipping, returns, and performance metrics and analytics.
- Upon full understanding of the site from the technology, employee, and customer perspective, demonstrate strong business judgment, thorough analysis, and the ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives.
- In addition to strong analytical thinking and execution, be prepared to be hands on in the field in 16 locations to increase revenue month by month through:
- Increased postings
- Evaluating staff in each market
- Standardizing photos and description format for all major categories including, but not limited to, Jewelry, Shoes, Handbags, Clothing, and Collectibles
- Updating procedures and best practices
- Training new and current employees and monitoring compliance
- Operational efficiencies
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Directors, Regional Directors, District Managers, and Store Managers.
- Responsible for the growth of the ECommerce department at an accelerated rate.
- Create both financial and operational charts and reports. Provide analysis and strategies based on these reports.
- Provide expertise on current e-commerce best practices including omni-channel sales.
- Weekly travel to Centers for support of the E-Commerce department.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong Retail background accompanied by extensive and proven knowledge of e-commerce technology, operations, and use of sophisticated analytics.
- 4+ years Ecommerce experience in apparel and accessories, wholesale/retail environment is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, sales or related fields, preferred.
- Exceptional time management skills; ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
- Adaptable and flexible; responsive and resourceful in a fast-paced, quick turn business model.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and database related programs.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must possess and maintain valid Driver License.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
