A well-established insurance brokerage with deep roots in the tri-state area is seeking a skilled Commercial Lines Marker/Rater to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong carrier relationships, deep market knowledge and a consultative mindset, ready to support producers and clients in securing tailored coverage solutions.

Role Overview:

As a key member of the commercial team, you'll be responsible for marketing new and renewal business, coordinating with producers and carrier underwriters, and ensuring accurate, competitive quoting. You'll play a central role in evaluating coverage options, binding policies, and maintaining system integrityall while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market new and renewal submissions across standard and excess lines
• Collaborate with producers to assess client needs and coverage strategies
• Rate submissions via carrier platforms and follow up on outstanding quotes
• Compare and validate quotes for coverage accuracy and client fit
• Bind coverage and manage binder documentation
• Maintain client records in AMS360 and related systems
• Support quoting, placement, and servicing workflows across the department

Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Property & Casualty License
• Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial lines marketing
• Strong understanding of carrier appetites, coverage forms, and rating tools
• Proficiency in AMS360, ImageRight, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in rating
• Highly organized, independent, and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Critical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
