The Product Owner will serve as the central point of accountability for the day-to-day support and strategic evolution of assigned key products. This role requires a hands-on leader who can expertly manage product operations, collaborate across teams, and drive roadmap execution. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in the product, capable of translating business needs into actionable development tasks and leading cross-functional efforts to deliver high-impact results.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to expert for product functionality, workflows, and user experience.
• Provide daily support to internal teams and stakeholders, resolving issues and clarifying product behavior.
• Maintain detailed documentation of product features, known issues, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to define and evolve the product roadmap.
• Translate strategic goals into prioritized backlog items and sprint-ready stories.
• Conduct market and user research to inform roadmap decisions and identify innovation opportunities.
• Track release progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of product enhancements.
• Facilitate change management communications and stakeholder alignment for each release.
• Act as the liaison between business units, technical teams, and end-users.
• Communicate product vision, updates, and performance metrics clearly and consistently.
• Gather feedback and adjust priorities to ensure the product continues to meet evolving needs.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and incorporating them into future planning efforts.

Minimum Requirement:

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience in technology or healthcare industry required.

Critical Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in product ownership or product management.
• Proven ability to drive decisions through data analysis and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated success launching new digital products.
• Proven ability to manage product backlogs, prioritize features, and lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with release planning and stakeholder coordination.
• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change.

Working Conditions:

• Limited Travel; 10 - 15%

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position:

$86,900 - $144,900
