AutoCAD Drafter

Job Description

Engineer will assist with the design and development of new manufacturing processes and equipment. The engineer will also provide support for all in-house drawings and maintain various sets of documents for different systems.

Responsibilities

Update current drawings, adding any undocumented equipment, completing measurements when needed, and inspecting air ducts.
Develop and optimize processes required for new products when necessary.
Work alongside Project Engineers and/or outside equipment vendors to specify, purchase, and develop new equipment and tooling.
Manage production line layouts and the installation of new equipment.
Oversee the overall management of the AutoCAD drawing system.
Assist with Change Control to support project efforts.

Essential Skills

Project management
Design
CAD
Drafting
Over 1 year of AutoCAD experience (reading and drawing designs)
Over 1 year of industrial or commercial manufacturing experience
Experience managing drawings and maintaining documents of water systems
Familiarity with single line diagrams
Experience with HVAC Hydronics drawings, as-builts, red lines, and water systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (preferred)
Experience in pharmaceutical or medical industries preferred but flexible to industrial manufacturers such as automotive, food and beverage, heavy equipment, etc.

Work Environment

The candidate will be provided with a company laptop with AutoCAD software installed. The candidate is expected to be on-site Monday to Friday with flexible hours (7-4, 8-5, 9-6) and may need to come in on 2nd/3rd shifts or Saturdays to take measurements when certain lines aren't running. This role requires working 40 hours a week and may require some overtime. The role starts as a 12-month contract.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
