X-Ray Technician

Baptist Urgent Care is actively seeking compassionate and experienced X-Ray Technologists to enhance our dynamic healthcare team. We are offering both full-time and PRN opportunities!

ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE:
Baptist Urgent Care operates 10 locations across Tennessee and Mississippi and is an affiliate of Urgent Team, one of the largest independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers provide accessible family healthcare at over 80 locations under multiple trusted brands.

Baptist Urgent Care's walk-in centers are open seven days a week, providing a variety of healthcare services for injuries, illnesses, and occupational health. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All centers are Accredited Care Centers, affirming our commitment to safety, quality, and comprehensive services.

JOB SUMMARY:
The X-Ray Technician will greet patients, activate files, and provide essential support to both patients and medical staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties generally outline the expectations of this position but are not exhaustive. Additional responsibilities may be assigned:

• Warmly greet patients as they arrive in waiting areas, exam rooms, and x-ray facilities.
• Maintain consistent communication with patients regarding wait times and next steps in their care.
• Proactively solve patient issues and seek assistance in urgent situations.
• Ensure timely follow-up on lab and x-ray results with a sense of urgency.
• Assist front desk staff with patient check-in and check-out procedures when needed.
• Accurately document patient vital signs and histories, including medications, allergies, and other relevant information.
• Support patient transfers and assist with procedures under provider supervision.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures while adhering to safety protocols for radiation protection.
• Ensure that equipment is fully operational and report any issues to the Regional Operation Manager or provider.
• Complete necessary documentation related to patient visits efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of examination rooms as needed.
• Follow infection control guidelines and patient confidentiality policies strictly.
• Perform phlebotomy, injections, and laboratory procedures as directed by the provider.

WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent is required, along with:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or equivalent experience.
• A valid State License to perform X-Rays.
• BLS Certification.
