Wastewater Construction Superintendent

A well-established general contractor is seeking an experienced Wastewater Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on complex environmental and infrastructure projects. This role will be responsible for daily supervision and coordination of crews, subcontractors, and construction activities at active job sites, with a focus on wastewater treatment plant upgrades, water treatment facilities, and large-scale pumping stations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in heavy civil construction, excels in managing teams and logistics, and is deeply committed to quality, safety, and schedule performance.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise all field operations for water and wastewater treatment construction projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and material deliveries to maintain optimal productivity and meet schedule deadlines
• Monitor site conditions, enforce safety protocols, and ensure all work adheres to OSHA standards and environmental regulations
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work plans; communicate job expectations to field crews accordingly
• Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality control, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to keep the project on track
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for project managers, engineers, and inspectors, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution
• Maintain accurate daily reports, including labor tracking, material usage, equipment logs, and progress updates
• Oversee and document site meetings and safety briefings; manage job site discipline and workforce coordination
• Assist with project startup, punch list, and closeout activities; ensure final product meets owner expectations and contractual requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Superintendent: 3+ years of construction superintendent experience, including at least two water/wastewater projects with budgets of $5M or more completed successfully.
• Senior Superintendent: 5+ years of construction superintendent experience on water/wastewater projects with budgets exceeding $25M completed successfully.
• Associates or bachelors degree is a plus but not required
