Valve Mechanic
As a Valve Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling pumps and valves that regulate water and gas systems for various clients. Each client has specific requirements, and it will be your task to assemble the components accordingly. Using hand tools and drawings, you will ensure that the pumps and valves are properly assembled and tested with air to confirm they function correctly. In cases where they do not, you will troubleshoot and resolve any issues. Additionally, you will safely band the valves to pallets for shipping and may use an overhead crane to assist with this process.
Responsibilities
- Assemble pumps and valves according to client specifications using hand tools and drawings.
- Test assembled pumps and valves with air to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and correct any issues with non-functional pumps and valves.
- Safely band valves to pallets for shipping.
- Operate an overhead crane if necessary for moving valves.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience
- Proficiency in pump assembly, valve assembly, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1 year of electrical skills preferred

Work Environment
Work in a small, climate-controlled valve shop. The dress code is casual, allowing jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, currently starting at 7 AM and working until 6 PM due to a busy schedule, with every other weekend off.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
