SAIC is seeking an experienced Automation Knowledge Management Specialist to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) in optimizing business processes and establishing knowledge management solutions. The successful candidate will develop, configure, and maintain IT frameworks and solutions using SharePoint, M365, Power Platform, Dataverse, and other available technologies. This role requires a strong ability to design scalable, integrated, and maintainable solutions that automate business processes and enhance operational efficiency.
This position is hybrid remote with onsite work located in Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) supporting the development of system requirements, design, coding, configuration, testing, and system administration, along with providing end-user support.
- Establish and maintain knowledge management and process automation efforts for OUSD(R&E) using SharePoint, M365, Power Platform, Dataverse, and other IT tools.
- Provide guidance and recommendations for both short- and long-term automation and knowledge management solutions tailored to evolving OUSD(R&E) needs.
- Design, develop, and manage custom SharePoint sites, solutions, and workflows to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Identify areas and processes where current solutions can be better leveraged and facilitate business process improvement.
- Provide architecture, configuration, code, system administration, and functional support to expand the company's capabilities in Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365.
- Create custom formulations and complex workflows across Power Platform, SharePoint, and Dataverse using Power Fx.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, serve as the SME on SharePoint, M365, and Power Platform projects, and provide end-user support.
- Develop and integrate solutions with existing OUSD(R&E) technologies (MS Azure, Power Platform, SharePoint) to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Provide expertise in full-stack development, including low code/no code/pro code platforms.
- Develop enterprise solutions capable of high transaction rates for real-time processing and delivery.
- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements from OUSD(R&E) stakeholders and support process modernization initiatives.
- Apply process improvement and reengineering methodologies to optimize OUSD(R&E)'s internal processes and enhance IT service delivery.
- Provide technical leadership in programming languages such as Power Fx, SQL, JavaScript, Python, and DAX.
- Utilize business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau to visualize data and enhance decision-making processes.
- Administer ongoing maintenance and enhancements for OUSD(R&E) knowledge management solutions.
- Provide training, knowledge transfer, and facilitation of group discussions with stakeholders.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years of experience, Master's degree and three (3) or more years of experience.
- Secret clearance.
- US citizenship.
- At least two (2) years of experience must be specialized in information technology and its various components.
- Specialized experience may include cloud application architecture, business process automation, business process reengineering, data architecture, or activity and data modeling.
- Dataverse experience.
- Experience in the following programming languages: SQL (Required), Power Fx (Required), DAX (Required), Bootstrap, JavaScript, Python.
- Experience with the following Software:Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint 2016 | SharePoint Online, Azure, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), SharePoint Designer, InfoPath.
- Extensive experience with SharePoint, M365, Power Platform, Dataverse, and MS Azure for building and maintaining automation and knowledge management solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a focus on improving business processes and operational efficiency.
- Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and deliver integrated IT solutions that meet mission and organizational requirements.
- Experience supporting DoD or government agencies.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience developing and managing custom SharePoint solutions, workflows, and enterprise schemas.
- Proficiency in reengineering efforts and applying process improvement methodologies in enterprise settings.
