Department Details

Become a vital part of our rehabilitation team at Good Samaritan as a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant. You will work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, treating long-term care residents and short-term rehab patients facing diverse challenges, including neurological conditions, orthopedic issues, and balance/fall/gait problems. We seek a team player ready to enhance our supportive environment with a flexible schedule and no nights or weekends required.

Job Summary

Your role will involve assisting patients with therapy activities and exercises outlined in their treatment plans under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist. You will strive to improve their quality of life and daily functioning while documenting their progress.

Implement and modify therapeutic activities and interventions tailored to patients’ goals.
Communicate progress and provide documentation to the supervising physical therapist.
Understand and follow clinical practice guidelines and standards.
Collaborate with the team to achieve targeted therapy outcomes.
Be adaptable to various care settings including post-acute, long-term care, and home health environments.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must:

Hold an education level compliant with state licensure.
Be a graduate of an accredited American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Possess a valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of employment.
Have a valid driver's license when applicable.
