Location: Mendota Heights, MN | Full-Time | Manufacturing Industry
About The Role
Are you a seasoned Tool and Die professional with a passion for leadership and precision manufacturing? We're looking for a Tool and Die Manager to lead our skilled team in designing, fabricating, and maintaining high-quality tools and dies that drive our production success.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your technical expertise and management skills will directly impact our operational excellence and innovation.
What You'll Do
As the Tool and Die Manager, you will:
- Lead & Inspire: Manage a team of toolmakers, machinists, and support staffproviding training, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Plan & Prioritize: Assign tasks based on skill level and production needs to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Design & Innovate: Oversee the creation and modification of tools, dies, and fixtures in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Ensure Precision: Supervise the fabrication and maintenance of high-tolerance tools and dies.
- Optimize Operations: Coordinate repairs and modifications to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with production and engineering to support new product development and tooling needs.
What You Bring
- Experience:
- 7+ years as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Strong math skills including geometry, trigonometry, and ratios
- Skilled in interpreting written, oral, and diagram instructions
- Education:
- Associate degree or technical certification preferred
- Equivalent experience (5+ years) also considered
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
