BASIC PURPOSE: Join Loves Travel Stops as a proactive and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Specialist. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, organized, and passionate about identifying and attracting outstanding talent for our operations team. Your expertise in company policies and technology will enhance our recruitment processes while you engage in various strategic recruiting and talent management initiatives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Divisional and District managers daily to assess and fulfill staffing needs while developing effective recruitment strategies.
- Manage the end-to-end recruiting process including sourcing, screening, interviewing candidates, and negotiating offers.
- Build a robust candidate pipeline that aligns with the needs of our division.
- Oversee talent planning processes, coordinating with leadership to establish succession plans and identify developmental needs for potential field managers.
- Maintain a dynamic list of high-potential candidates, supporting their growth through regular evaluations.
- Track and report on recruiting metrics and Key Performance Indicators for your division.
- Organize and run management career fairs to attract qualified candidates.
- Establish connections with military organizations, colleges, universities, and community colleges to source talent by attending various recruiting events.
- Ensure all hiring documentation is accurate and complete.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to uphold compliance with Federal and State employment laws.
- Deliver training sessions to management aimed at improving the hiring process and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources preferred, or related experience (3-5 years in Recruiting, Staffing, Talent Management, or HR).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years in high-volume talent acquisition, preferably in retail, restaurant, and customer service management.
- Experience with HR systems—Applicant Tracking Systems, Learning Management Systems, and onboarding platforms—preferred.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and analyze situations with a sharp attention to detail.
- Physical Demands:
- Occasional travel (10% required).
- Prolonged sitting and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Sufficient manual dexterity for operating a computer and calculator.
- Normal range of hearing and vision required.
