About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Automation Technician I for our 2nd Shift (3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday to Friday) to be part of our Wilmington, MA team. In this role, you will have a direct impact on maintaining the efficiency and safety of our plant operations!

As an Automation Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

Maintaining plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Conducting thorough root cause analysis to quickly resolve equipment failures and improve overall efficiency.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues across various types of plant equipment, including conveyors and pallet handling systems.
Participating in proactive and reactive maintenance activities while adhering to health and safety protocols.
Documenting work orders accurately to ensure comprehensive maintenance records.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements that enhance plant performance.
Performing risk assessments to guarantee safety in both equipment operations and personnel activities.
Prioritizing employee health, product quality, and environmental sustainability in all maintenance efforts.

What You Will Bring:

3-5 years of experience in industrial machine maintenance.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, variable AC drives, PLCs, and field sensors.
Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyance equipment.
Ability to work in tight spaces and at heights, utilizing safety measures and PPE.
Experience using MS Office and navigating internet applications.
Familiarity with OSHA standards and hazardous energy control procedures.
Ability to utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Skills & Knowledge:

Electrical:

Control panels and power cabinets.
3 phase 480-volt power systems.
Rockwell Automation Compact Logic (RSLogix 5000) experience.
Understanding of Ethernet IP networks and devices.
Experience with Yaskawa, Fanuc, or Kuka robotics.
NEC 70E Electrical Safety knowledge.

Mechanical:

Experience with Chain Drive Live Roller and Belt Conveyor systems.
Knowledge of hydraulic pumps and circuits.
Familiarity with air compressors and pneumatic systems.
