Structural Engineer

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer in Portland, Oregon with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, and educational projects . The ideal candidate will lead projects from concept through construction, ensuring structural integrity, code compliance, and client satisfaction.

• Lead structural engineering design for residential, commercial, and educational facilities.
• Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, RISA, Revit).
• Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent and code requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.).
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active PE license in OR preffered.
• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and BIM software.
• Strong understanding of building codes and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  

• Seismic design and retrofit experience.
• Experience with sustainable design and LEED projects.
• Familiarity with design-build and fast-track project delivery methods.
