Position Overview

We are currently looking for a motivated Substation Engineer to join our growing Substation and Transmission Line Design team! As part of the team of highly specialist design professionals, you will support a variety of substation, transmission, and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV. We are supporting both engineering design and EPC projects for clients throughout the country.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project team to create all design documents and drawings, including one and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, substation layout plans, and section and detail drawings.
• Specification development for the procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
• Apply engineering application software to complete engineering tasks such as ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with project lead, customer representatives, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
• At least 2 years of experience performing engineering-related duties preferred
• Knowledge of engineering standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in the English language
• Legally able to work in the United States for any length of time
