A leading geotechnical specialty design-build contractor is seeking an experienced Geotechnical, Structural, or GeoStructural Engineer to join its Cleveland, Ohio office. With offices across the United States and internationally, this organization is known for delivering innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions to complex construction challenges.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems through a combination of design expertise and hands-on construction experience. As part of a collaborative and dynamic engineering team, you will contribute to the development of customized solutions involving:
- Deep foundations
- Earth retention systems
- Slope stabilization and landslide repairs
- Ground improvement techniques
- Complex underpinning systems
- Provide engineering support to the estimating team during the bid process
- Prepare detailed design drawings for construction
- Offer technical assistance and support to project managers throughout the construction phase
- Master's Degree in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering (preferred)
- 5-15 years of experience in geotechnical or geostructural engineering, ideally including ground improvement design
- Experience with geotechnical design-build projects and seismic design (preferred)
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent communication skills
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Proficient in Excel, Mathcad, and familiar with AutoCAD
- Experience with specialized software such as CT-Shoring, DeepEx, LPile, Settle 3D, Group, GeoStudio, and Plaxis is a plus
