Overview:

Staff Accountant Contract-to-Hire Southwest Indianapolis

Location: Onsite

Schedule: M F 8am to 5pm (some flexibility around core hours)

Pay Rate $26 - $31 an hour

Full Description:

LHH is currently recruiting for a Staff Accountant in Southwest Indianapolis. This is an onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity within the Manufacturing Industry.

Position Summary:

• Review and input invoices for payables and receivables
• Review, analyze, and match POs, receivers, and vendor invoices
• Create payments in accounting and banking systems
• Record payments from customers; collections activity (low volume)
• Verify discrepancies and resolve customer billing issues
• Analyze vendor and product costs
• Collaborate with inventory accounting to perfect bills of material and product costing
• Assist Controller in month-end and year-end closing

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Degree in accounting/finance preferred (not required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with inventory costing, collections, and payroll preferred

Pay Details: $26 - 31 per hour
