Deliver life-changing care to those who served our nation. Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a potential opportunity in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, TX.
This role offers a meaningful, mission-focused environment with a collaborative care team and the unique privilege of serving our nation's veterans.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care to veterans with spinal cord injuries and neurorehabilitation needs
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to manage individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress, administer treatments, and educate patients and families
- Support clinical operations through detailed documentation and patient advocacy
- Work one weekend per month as part of a shared schedule rotation
Required Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state
- Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care Nursing experience within the last 5 years
- Current ACLS certification (AHA approved) applicable to SICU, IMCU, CCU, ICU, Stepdown, or ER
- Current BLS certification (AHA approved)
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
