Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in social media marketing.
• Experience managing a social channel, including developing and leading high-impact social and content strategies and engaging online-communities.
• Experience in program management or project management.
• Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with social media content publishing, calendaring, and reporting tools and other native channel platform tools.
• Experience driving earned conversation on social media and in PR and community engagement.
• Ability to work across teams, build relationships, collaborate with leaders, and influence across all levels, functions, and geographies.
• Ability to take initiative with an interest in experimental AI and leaps in technology and using AI tools.
• Excellent investigative mindset with quantitative reasoning, creativity, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent creative judgment, and comfortable guiding development and activations with external agency partners and internal Google teams.

About The Job

AI is the most profound technology Google is working on, and it’s already integral to many of our products that billions of people use every day. The central AI marketing team is the hub for AI launches, bringing technology to developers and early adopters. As the Social Media Manager for Google AI on this team you will drive the channel/content strategy that bolsters Google’s technical leadership and drives social conversation. You will own the Google AI X channel, driving content and operations, including developing and executing an always-on editorial calendar, so being able to translate technologies into compelling, simple narratives is a must. You should be resourceful and adept at working cross functionally to get things done and should be comfortable working with technical product partners as you will also partner with Google AI social channel owners across key moments to drive a one Google presence.

Salary and benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$201,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay within the range is determined by location and other factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process. Compensation details listed reflect base salary only; bonus, equity, and benefits are not included. Responsibilities

• Drive strategy, content development and operations of the Google AI X channel, collaborating with Cross-Product Area (xPA) teams to capture and uncover relevant topics.
• Oversee creative development for the channel, briefing creative partners and leveraging Google’s tools to create content.
• Manage approvals for social assets and toolkits, work with cross-functional partners and reviewers, and report on evergreen social activity weekly and monthly, in coordination with analysts.
• Coordinate with xPA topics and major company moments to drive cross-channel coordination with other AI social channels and executives to create a one-Google moment; drive project trackers for larger launches.
• Monitor the AI conversation on social among AI enthusiasts and community leaders to drive engagement and ideation of opportunities for Google to participate.
