Job Title: Simulation Process Engineer

Job Description

This role involves responsibility for throughput analysis and simulation of new vehicle programs throughout all phases of the Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP). The Simulation Process Engineer will collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) centers to design and optimize current and future manufacturing systems and support plants in throughput improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  Implement simulation deliverables for assigned new/major vehicle programs.

  Run experiments/analysis optimally, interpret results, and generate standard reports.

  Respond to throughput simulation requests from assigned manufacturing facilities.

  Support ME innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

  Extract necessary inputs from Manufacturing Planning & Engineering documents.

  Interface with Execution and Process Leads to support total plant throughput strategy.

• n

  Utilize and contribute to the improvement of standardized work.

• n

  Participate in the approval process for validating/refreshing Phase 0 Data Sets.

  Occasional travel (5%).

Essential Skills

n
• n

  Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  n
n
• n

  3+ years of engineering or manufacturing experience.

  n
n
• n

  Basic knowledge of GMS principles and concepts applicable to throughput requirements.

• n

  High level of communication and interpersonal skills.

  n
n
• n

  Ability to meet deadlines while keeping organized amidst varying projects and multi-plant assignments.

• n

  High level of analytical ability where problems are complex.

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement processes.

Work Environment

The role may require occasional travel, estimated at 5%. The work environment involves collaborating with various teams and departments to enhance manufacturing systems and strategies. The position demands a high level of communication and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and assignments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
