Join us as the Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering, a pivotal role designed to shape the future of global industrial and chemical sectors. In this position, you will lead and innovate on projects involving the design, construction, and optimization of new process plants including hydrogen plants and other gas plants. You will manage a team of skilled engineers and collaborate across departments to ensure our projects meet high standards, integrate cutting-edge technology, and uphold our commitment to sustainability and safety.
Salary: $125,000.00 - $148,750.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of single line diagrams and schematic drawings for electrical systems.
- Lead the procurement process including developing purchase specifications, obtaining vendor quotes, and performing bid evaluations.
- Approve electrical vendor drawings and supervise the start-up testing and commissioning of electrical installations.
- Coordinate with utility companies for the installation of new plants including new substations and related infrastructure.
- Conduct power system studies for voltage drop, load flow, short circuit, and relay coordination across high-powered installations.
- Manage large project installations including high voltage substations and synchronous motors up to 30,000 HP.
- Facilitate troubleshooting involving plant trips, equipment breakdowns, and emergency support to maintain operational stability.
- Perform reliability audits and provide expert evaluations for electrical systems and equipment upgrades.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by documenting lessons learned and conducting root cause analysis on plant failures.
- Ensure all project activities adhere to global industry standards such as ATEX, NEC, UL, and more.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the Industrial or Chemical industry, with a focus on electrical engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in design engineering, electrical power control, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, construction inspection, commissioning support, and plant design execution.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (NEC, UL, ATEX).
- Strong background in programming, low voltage MCC, and industrial heaters.
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Experience in business development related to engineering proposals and contracts.
- Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Advanced skills in the use of software for designing and modeling electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read standard Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of 3D modeling software.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
