Responsibilities:About This Position
In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team. Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities. Employees are responsible for completion of unit competency assessments annual safety review CPR and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy. In addition to these major responsibilities the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

Demonstrates knowledge of the nursing process and the ability to apply these principles appropriately. Demonstrates a caring compassionate attitude toward others. Ability and willingness to actively participate in process improvement activities. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others across all departments. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse Graduate with 6 months to one (1) year of work experience and new graduates without acute care experience will be considered on an individual basis.
- Current California Registered Nurse license.
- Current approved health care provider CPR certification.
- Current ACLS or completion of ACLS course within 6 months of employment.
- NRP required.
- Basic Fetal Monitoring Certificate presented upon hire; or for new graduates achieved within the Orientation Process.
- Completion of an Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course within 2 years of employment. This certificate must be maintained.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One to two years experience preferred.
