Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will oversee tax compliance and strategy, ensuring our clients meet all regulatory requirements while optimizing their tax obligations. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings.
Review tax provisions and ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
Lead and mentor junior staff in tax preparation and research activities.
Stay updated with the latest tax regulations and changes, providing insights to clients and the team.
Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for tax filings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA certification is required; EA certification is a plus.
5+ years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, preferably in a managerial role.
Proficient in tax software such as Drake, Proconnect, or Lacerte.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
