The Senior Manager In Statistical Innovation is responsible for providing scientific and statistical leadership to support initiatives on designing innovative clinical trials and to evaluate, develop and deploy advanced and novel statistical/analytical modeling and simulations to drive statistical innovation modeling and simulation in Clinical Development.

Responsibilities:

• Actively supports in the evaluation, introduction, development and education of novel statistical and/or machine learning/deep learning approaches.
• Demonstrates extensive competence in investigating/evaluating complex innovative designs and analysis options using scientific computing, modeling and simulations.
• Demonstrates extended understanding and actively seeks new knowledge in advanced and emerging statistical methods.
• Applies imagination. Creates, invents, and implements new or better approaches, alternatives, and breakthrough ideas in modeling and simulations.
• Demonstrates ability to apply statistical knowledge to solve real-world problems.
• Shows proficiency in development, implementation, and rollout of statistical and deep learning tools and techniques.
• Builds and maintains external reputation and influences industry.
• Job level will be commensurate with experience.

Significant Work Activities: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods is required.

Qualifications:

• MS (with 8+ years of experience) or PhD (with 4+ years of experience) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a highly related field.
• High degree of technical competence and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to identify data or analytical issues, and assist with providing solutions.
• Able to manage project timeline and quality of deliverables.
• Able to build strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners.
• Have strong leadership skills and experience in working/managing cross-cultural or overseas teams.
• Pharmaceutical or related industry knowledge desired.
• (SSG) Some experience supporting safety-related projects is preferred.
• (GMA Stat) Competence in experimental and RWE study design, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, statistical modeling, and statistical programming. Knowledge of methodologies for confounding control and bias minimization in observational studies preferred.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
